The Inverness Village mission began in December 1997. It was then that a group of dedicated volunteers came together to discuss the need for a new, full-service retirement community in the Tulsa area—something truly unique and innovative, offering people endless opportunities. They envisioned a campus-style environment, offering the latest choices in residences, community-wide services and amenities, and state-of-the-art fitness and health care facilities. Their goal was to satisfy the changing desires of today's active mature adults, while offering the security and peace of mind that comes with quality long-term care and rehabilitation services. They also envisioned a location that would be convenient, but away from traffic congestion, high density and high-rise development, so that those who would live there could enjoy free time outdoors, in a secure and tranquil setting.
Now, after several years of intensive planning, Inverness Village, a Life Care retirement community, is an exciting reality. With its not-for-profit status, Inverness Village is governed by a local interfaith Board of Directors, comprised of leading citizens with a wealth of experience in the Tulsa community. It is also directly affiliated with, planned and operated by
Asbury Communities—an organization that brings a longstanding tradition of strength and guidance to communities like Inverness Village.
